Our Pastor 

My name is Thang Tungnung, and I was born and raised in Myanmar. On July 3, 2004, at the age of 15, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and was baptized. After completing high school, I pursued theological studies at Zo Christian College in 2006 and continued my education at the Ministry Training College in Myanmar until 2009.

As the oldest of eight siblings, I felt a strong responsibility to support my family. In late 2009, I moved to Malaysia, where I lived and worked for five years. During that time, I married my wife, Thang Nuam Kim (BawiNu), and by God’s blessing, we were blessed with five lovely daughters.
In 2014, my family and I had the opportunity to move to Australia. We first settled in Melbourne before relocating to Adelaide in 2016. We started holding Sunday services in our home, and later that year, we founded Zo Baptist Church. I have been in a leadership role within the church since its inception.

Concerned about our children’s spiritual growth, we connected with Salisbury Baptist Church in 2017. They graciously welcomed our children into their English Sunday school and allowed us to use their building for our Zo Church services, where we have worshipped ever since.

In 2019, I undertook leadership training in Christian ministry and theology at Uniting College, and I continue to deepen my understanding of God’s word. Since 2021, I have served as the pastor of our church, committed to leading and serving our community in faith.
